13. APPROVE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND ONE (1) HYBRID VEHICLE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT UTILIZING ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT (EECBG) AND SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT (AQMD) FUNDING RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the purchase of one (1) Ford E-Transit Cargo Van and one (1) Ford F-150 Hybrid for the Public Works Department utilizing Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) and South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) funds; and 2. Approve the purchase of one (1) Ford E-Transit Cargo Van through State of California Statewide Contract #1-22-23-20 with National Auto Fleet Group as allowed by Montebello Municipal Code Chapter 3.20.050(F) - Cooperative Purchases; and 3. Approve the purchase of one (1) Ford F-150 Hybrid through Sourcewell Contract #081325-NAF with National Auto Fleet Group as allowed by Montebello Municipal Code Chapter 3.20.050(F) - Cooperative Purchases; and 4. Authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents related to the purchase of the vehicles; and 5. Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
