12. Apply for and Accept Grant Funding and to Submit and Execute All Required Grant Application Documents Recommendation: Authorize the Director of Beaches and Harbors to submit applications and execute all required contracts, agreements, reports, and amendments to secure grants for County-owned and operated beach and Marina del Rey projects and programs from various Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as private entities, provided the Board is given advance notification and has an opportunity to object before grant acceptance. Adopt a resolution, effective for five years from the date of adoption, implementing the delegation of authority to the Director to submit applications and execute all required contracts, agreements, reports, and amendments to secure grants for County-owned and operated beach and Marina del Rey projects and programs from various Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as private entities, provided the Board is given advance notification and has an opportunity to object before grant acceptance. Authorize the Director to accept grant funds for County-owned and operated beach and Marina del Rey projects and programs, provided the Board is given advance notification and an opportunity to object prior to grant acceptance; to conduct all negotiations; to execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, deed restrictions, and amendments, including extensions of time, minor changes in project scope, and changes in the grant amount; and to sign and submit requests for payment of funds.
