(69) 25-0002-S129 CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION (BLUMENFIELD - YAROSLAVSKY) relative to establishing the City's position on Assembly Bill (AB) 1853 (Pellerin) which would establish content standards for official state election publications. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Blumenfield - Yaroslavsky), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City’s 2025-26 State Legislative Program SUPPORT for AB 1853 (Pellerin), legislation that would prohibit hateful or discriminatory content in official state election publications and establish content standards for candidate statements appearing in state-issued voter information materials. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the Chief Legislative Analyst. The City Administrative Officer has not completed a financial analysis of this report.
