(57) 26-1344 CD 7 MOTION (RODRIGUEZ - HERNANDEZ) relative to funding to facilitate the formal transfer and dedication of Telfair Park to the City. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1. DIRECT the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), with the assistance of the Department of General Services, the City Attorney, and any other relevant City departments, be directed to take all necessary actions to accept the donation of Telfair Park, an approximately 1.5-acre developed park located at 15721 West Cobalt Street in Sylmar, from the Tessera Sylmar Inc. Homeowners Association. Such actions shall include, as necessary, obtaining appraisals; securing title and escrow services; conducting surveys; paying recording and closing costs; and preparing and executing any other documents or taking any other actions necessary to complete the conveyance and dedication of the property for public park purposes. Sufficient funding is available within the Council District 7 General City Purposes Council Projects allocation for these activities. 2. TRANSFER and APPROPRIATE $35,000 from Council District 7 General City Purposes Fund, Account No. 000A28 (CD-7 Council Projects), Account ID. A28, to the Department of General Services, Department No. 40, Fund No. 100, Account No. 003040 (Contractual Services), for expenses related to the transfer of Telfair Park to the City; and that $5,000 be transferred and appropriated to the Department of Recreation and Parks, Department No. 88, Fund No. 302, Account No. 3040 (Contractual Services), for an environmental Phase I assessment. 3. AUTHORIZE the Departments of General Services and Recreation and Parks to make any corrections, clarifications, or revisions to the above fund transfer instructions, including any new instructions, necessary to effectuate the intent of this Motion, including any corrections or changes to fund or account numbers; and that such corrections, clarifications, or revisions may be made orally, electronically, or by any other means.
