18. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR CARAHSOFT TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE RUBRIK BACKUP SYSTEMS SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE SUPPORT (CITY COUNCIL) RECOMMENDED ACTION — 1. RATIFY waiver of the bidding requirements of the Carson Municipal Code (CMC) pursuant to Carson Municipal Code Sections 2611(g) (cooperative purchasing); and, — 2. APPROVE a contract with Carahsoft Technology Corporation for the Rubik Security Platform to continue to protect the City’s systems and data, including hardware and software support for a total contract amount not to exceed $188,852.67 for a term of 3 years; and, — 3. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the contract after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
