(14) 26-1198 ARTS, PARKS, AND CITY FACILITIES COMMITTEE REPORT relative to options for establishing a permanent Park Gate Closure Program to ensure City parks are consistently secured. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Rodriguez - McOsker): INSTRUCT the Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA), with the assistance of the Department of Recreation and Parks, Los Angeles Police Department, and City Administrative Officer (CAO), to report to Council on options for establishing a permanent Park Gate Closure Program, including the feasibility and operational and fiscal impacts of transferring responsibility for park gate closures or other appropriate alternatives, and any staffing, resources, or implementation measures necessary to ensure City parks are consistently secured. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the CAO nor the CLA has completed a financial analysis of this report.
