8G. Award a construction contract for the Olivenhain Trail Enhancements Project\n(CP23E) to L.C. Paving & Sealing, Inc. Environmental Considerations: The\nproposed project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act\n(CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(c) of the CEQA Guidelines. This section\nexempts projects characterized as minor alteration of existing public facilities,\ninvolving negligible or no expansion of existing use. The types of existing\nfacilities include bicycle and pedestrian trails. The proposed project meets the\ncriteria for this exemption. None of the exceptions in Section 15300.2 of the\nCEQA Guidelines are applicable to the project.
