However, if time permits, some\nGeneral Items may be heard prior to any 6:00 p.m. Public Hearing Items, following the Consent Calendar.\nOrdinances may be introduced at this time. The City Council/HDB/CDC/OPFA has adopted a policy that it is\nsufficient to read the title of ordinances at the time of introduction and adoption, and that full reading of\nordinances may be waived. 19.\nRequest by Councilmember Figueroa and Deputy Mayor 25-1011\nJoyce to direct staff to draft a resolution that ensures City of\nOceanside policies and practices do not support or\ncontribute to federal immigration enforcement, and that\npromotes public awareness of Oceanside residents’ due\nprocess rights under the Constitution.\n1. The City will actively disseminate “Know Your Rights”\ninformation (including a website).\n2. Prohibit federal law enforcement personnel from\nimmigration enforcement in non-public areas of City-owned\nor City-controlled properties without a judicial warrant.\n3. Future City contracts to include clauses prohibiting\ncontractors from disclosing sensitive, personal, or\nnon-public information to federal immigration enforcement\nagencies. Unless otherwise required by state and federal\nlaw.\n4. Sensitive or personal data collected by the City will not\nbe shared with immigration enforcement agencies, directly\nor indirectly.
