ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION R25-27 APPROVING (1) THE PURCHASE OF\nELECTRIC VEHICLES, CHARGING EQUIPMENT AND CHARGING COSTS,\nIN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $155,000; (2) MAKING AN\nAPPROPRIATION FROM THE AB 2766 SUBVENTION FUND (FUND 14) IN\nTHE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $155,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF\nELECTRIC VEHICLES, CHARGING EQUIPMENT AND CHARGING COSTS;\nAND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION R25-28 APPROVING (1) THE\nPURCHASE OF TWO REPLACEMENT POLICE PATROL VEHICLES AND\nEQUIPMENT OUTFITTING NOT-TO-EXCEED $165,000; (2) MAKING AN\nAPPROPRIATION FROM THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND (FUND\n60) IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $165,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF\nTWO REPLACEMENT POLICE PATROL VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT\nOUTFITTING; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE\nRELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND TO MAKE SUCH\nACCOUNTING ENTRIES FOR THIS SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION AS\nDEEMED APPROPRIATE.\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council adopt resolution\nR25-27 approving (1) the purchase of three (3) electric vehicles, charging\nequipment and charging costs, in an amount not-to-exceed $155,000; (2)\nmaking an appropriation from the AB 2766 subvention fund (Fund 14) in\nthe amount not to exceed $155,000 for the purchase of electric vehicles,\ncharging equipment and charging costs; and adoption of resolution R2528 approving (1) the purchase of two (2) replacement police patrol\nvehicles and equipment outfitting not-to-exceed $165,000; (2) making an\nappropriation from the equipment replacement fund (Fund 60) in the\namount not to exceed $165,000 for the purchase of two replacement\npolice patrol vehicles and equipment outfitting; and authorizing the city\nmanager to execute related documents on behalf of the city and to make\nsuch accounting entries for this supplemental appropriation as deemed\nappropriate\nStaff Report\nAttachment A\nAttachment B

14. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION RELATED TO AUTHORIZING THE\nCITY MANAGER TO 1) ENTER SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS WITH\nPURDUE PHARMA L.P. AND THE SACKLER FAMILY AND SECONDARY\nMANUFACTURERS, 2) REVERT FUNDS TO THE COUNTY OF LOS\nANGELES IF DEEMED APPROPRIATE, AND EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS\nNECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE ACTION, AND 3) AUTHORIZE THE CITY\nMANAGER TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE OPIOID SETTLEMENT\nAGREEMENTS.\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council take the\nfollowing actions:\n1.\nAdopt Resolution No. 25-29 and direct the City Manager or designee to\nenter into the Purdue Pharma settlement agreement and the Secondary\nManufacturers (Alvogen, Amneal, Apotex, Hikma, Indivior, Mylan, Sun,\nand Zydus);\n2.\nDirect the settlement funds to Los Angeles County for opioid abatement\npurposes if deemed appropriate and authorize the City Manager or\ndesignee to execute any documents necessary to implement the action\nand;\n3.\nAuthorize the City Manager to participate in future opioid settlement\nagreements.\nStaff Report\nAttachment A\nAttachment B
