The Lewis Group of Companies Presentation on Proposed 178 -Unit Residential\nPlanned Development\nThe Lewis Group of Companies has submitted a Pre -Application\nPre -Application 23- 02), proposing to develop a new 178 -unit residential planned\ndevelopment, which will consist of approximately 105 tandem townhomes units and\n73 row town home units. The size of each dwelling varies from 1, 147 square feet to\n2, 201 square feet with an attached two -car garage. To develop the site as a residential\nplanned development, the applicant proposes to change the zone from Medium\nCommercial with a Design Overlay ( C -3/ D- 0) to Planned Development ( P -D). The\napplicant is also proposing to change the General Plan land use designation from\nOffice/ Light Industrial to High Density Residential ( 0- 30 units/ acre). The subject\nsite is located at 1515 Walnut Grove Avenue.\nRecommendation: That the City Council and Planning Commission provide\nfeedback and input.

Continued Discussion, Report, and Direction Regarding the 2030 Imagine\nRosemead Strategic Plan\nThe City Council will continue the discussion of the Strategic Plan review from\nimplementing Rosemead' s vision for the City as well as ongoing improvements. This\nupdate outlines the first two years of the plan and provides a progress report on the goals and items that were identified in the 2030 Strategic Plan.\nRecommendation: \nThat the City Council discuss and provide direction on the Strategic Plan.

Approve MissionSquare as the City' s deferred compensation program services\nprovider;\n2. Approve a three- year contract with two additional one- year extensions; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract.

Del Mar and Glendon Way Community Garden Services Award of Contract\nThe City would like to contract with CultivaLA, Inc. for garden support services at\nthe Del Mar Community Garden and the Glendon Way Community Garden.\nCultivaLA Inc. provides a wide range of services to help enrich the lives of residents\nliving in the community and our Community Garden users. The purpose of the\n4\nSpecial & Regular Joint Meeting Agenda January 9, 2024\nagreement is to continuously design, implement, and provide a learning experience\nto the visitors and users of the Del Mar Community Garden and introduce a new\nexperience to the users of the Glendon Way Community Garden.\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve the proposed agreement with\nCultivaLA, Inc. from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, and authorize the City\nManager to execute the contracts on behalf of the City.
