APPEAL OF THE PLANNING\nCOMMISSION’S APPROVAL TO DEMOLISH\nA COMMERCIAL BUILDING AND\nCONSTRUCT A SEVEN-STORY MIXED-USE\nDEVELOPMENT CONTAINING 110\nRESIDENTIAL APARTMENT UNITS ABOVE\n3,795 SQUARE FEET OF GROUND FLOOR\nCOMMERCIAL SPACE OVER A\nSUBTERRANEAN GARAGE WITH 115\nPARKING SPACES LOCATED AT 8025\nSANTA MONICA BOULEVARD, INCLUDING\nA FINDING THAT THE PROJECT IS\nEXEMPT FROM CEQA UNDER A CLASS 32\nCATEGORICAL EXEMPTION FOR INFILL\nDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (14 CCR §\n15332) [N. MARICICH, J. ALKIRE, D. VU]:\nThis item is an appeal of the Planning\nCommission’s adoption of Resolution No. PC\n23-1530, which found the project to be exempt\nfrom CEQA under Section 15532 (In-fill\nDevelopment Projects) and approved the\ndemolition of an existing two-story commercial\nbuilding and construction of an approximately\n82,510-square-foot, seven-story, mixed-use\nbuilding containing 110 residential apartment\nunits above approximately 3,795 square-feet\nof ground floor commercial space over a two-\nlevel subterranean garage with 115 parking\nspaces.
