3-H. 2022-23 STREET REHABILITATION AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS PROJECT – AWARD OF CONTRACT It is recommended that the City Council consider: (1) Authorizing the City Manager to execute a public works contract, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with All American Asphalt of Corona, CA in the contract amount of $6,865,699 for the 2022-23 Street Rehabilitation at Various Locations Project; (2) Authorizing the Director of Public Works to approve change orders and contingency up to $1,029,855, or 15% of the contract amount for a total project cost of $7,895,554; (3) Accepting and appropriating anticipated reimbursement from the City of Rosemead in the amount of $152,095 for costs related to their portion of work on New Avenue to the Capital Improvement Project No. 96031 budget; and (4) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable. CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act): Since the proposed work is a minor alteration to an existing public facility, this project is Class 1 Categorically Exempt pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
