5) CONSIDERATION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO MERCHANTS LANDSCAPE SERVICES, INC. FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. 202402 - LANDSCAPE AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR CIVIC CENTER AND CITY PARKS It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions: 1. Award the contract for Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 202402 for landscape and maintenance services for the Civic Center and City parks to Merchants Landscape Services, Inc. 2. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement, in such final form as approved by the City Attorney, with Merchants Landscape Services, Inc. for landscape and maintenance services for the Civic Center and City parks, for an initial term of three (3) years, with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, in an amount not to exceed $5,499,356 ($879,897 annually plus 25% for additional work as approved by the City Manager). 3. Authorize the City Manager to approve change orders and amendments to the agreement, provided that Merchant Landscape Services, Inc.'s total compensation does not exceed $5,499,536.
