5. Request Consideration and Approval for Measure BP Funding to continue the NextGen Youth Workforce Program for Summer of 2026 It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Consider approving $105,000 from Measure BP funding for the 2026 NextGen Program if Managed Career Solutions (MCS) “AJCC” is unable to commit funding for the participants through July 31, 2026; and 2. Authorize the use of these funds to: • Support 40 program participants under the City’s payroll (Up to 120 hours per participant, Hourly Rate & Taxes, and City Admin Costs); and 3. Approve the allocation of funds to cover related program expenses, HR cost for pre- employment screening, an Appreciation Lunch with food, refreshments, and City give-a-ways, materials and supplies for a development workshop for youth participants; and 4. Authorize the Director of Finance to make appropriations and necessary budget adjustments; and 5. Any remaining funds will be placed back into the Measure BP account.
