Verbal Report by the Director of Office of Emergency Management, Chief Executive Office, on the County’s Earthquake Preparedness Verbal presentation by the Director of Office of Emergency Management, Chief Executive Office, in collaboration with the Director of Public Works, the Fire Chief, the Sheriff, CEO Asset Management Branch, other relevant County Departments, Dr. Lucy Jones and representatives from academia, that have a role in emergency preparedness and response regarding earthquake preparedness efforts, including the current readiness of County staff and facilities, any existing gaps that must be addressed, and a plan for how the County will ensure continued service to residents and businesses, while ensuring community safety and infrastructure needs in the event of a major earthquake, as requested at the Board meeting of August 4, 2026.
