(4) 15-0989-S59 AD HOC COMMITTEE ON THE 2028 OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC GAMES REPORT relative to requesting City departments and public entities, such as Metro and the County of Los Angeles, to report with an assessment of procurement opportunities for local, small, and underrepresented businesses, and recommendations to enhance efforts to expand contracting opportunities for these businesses. Recommendation for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Harris- Dawson - Padilla, Lee): INSTRUCT the Bureau of Contract Administration, the Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA), and the City Administrative Officer (CAO), with the assistance of the Community Investment Department, Department of Recreation and Parks, Los Angeles World Airports, and other relevant City departments, as well as other public entities such as Metro and the County of Los Angeles, to report within 90 days with an assessment of procurement opportunities for local, small, and underrepresented businesses at Non-Venue Activations in the City, procedures currently in place to support these businesses, and recommendations to coordinate, monitor, and enhance efforts to expand contracting opportunities for these businesses. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the CAO nor the CLA has completed a financial analysis of this report.
