16. CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE IMPERIAL COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION TO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVCIES RELATED TO THE LIBRARY’S HIGH-SPEED BROADBAND CONNECTION FOR A NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $58,000 FOR A FIVE-YEAR TERM Recommendation Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a five-year Agreement with the Imperial County Office of Education, the vendor selected by the California State Library to provide administrative services for its Broadband Services program, which provides high-speed internet connections to public libraries and facilitates securing state and federal rebates on behalf of participating libraries, in an amount not-to- exceed $58,000.
