Requested Action: That the City Council approve the Agreement between\nthe City of Jurupa Valley and the Governor’s Office of Land Use and\nClimate Innovation to accept a $500,000 grant to act as the Fiscal Sponsor\nand authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement in substantially\nthe form and format attached to the staff report as approved by the City\nAttorney.\n2. FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT\nSERVICES FOR THE GLEN AVON PAVEMENT REHABILITATIION\nPROJECT (CIP #23102)\nAPPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF JURUPA VALLEY\nAND GEO-ADVANTEC, INC. FOR MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES\nFOR THE GLEN AVON PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT (CIP\n#23102)\n1. Requested Action: That the City Council award a construction contract to\nHardy & Harper Inc. in the amount of $788,775.00 for the 2023-2024\nCDBG Glen Avon Area Pavement Rehabilitation Project (CIP #23102), and\nauthorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement in the form attached\nto the staff report; and\n2. FOR MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES\nFOR THE RUBIDOUX AREA PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT\n(CIP #24106)\n1. A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the City Attorney,\nbased on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to\nlitigation involving the City based on the letter to Assistant City Attorney Maricela\nMarroquin dated October 7, 2024 from Linda Klein, attorney for Warmington\nResidential with respect to the proposed project at 7586 Jurupa Road, which letter\nis available for public inspection from the Office of the City Clerk.

C. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS. The City\nCouncil will convene in closed session pursuant to Government Code Section\n54956.8 regarding the acquisition of certain property interests from the real\nproperty located at the corner of 58th Street and Etiwanda Avenue, Jurupa Valley\nCA (APN 161-180-033). The negotiating parties are the City of Jurupa Valley and\nthe property owner, Rodeo Café Corporation. Negotiators for the City are Rod\nButler, Michael Flad, and Amy Sells. Under negotiations are price and terms of the\nacquisition of the property.
