The issuance of Bonds to refinance the commercial paper notes included in the CAO report would cause the City to borrow $5,339,191 at an assumed interest rate of 5.5 percent over 30 years. The resulting estimated debt service is approximately $11 million including interest of approximately $5.7 million. During the life of the Bonds, the estimated average annual debt service is approximately $367,365. Actual interest rates may differ as rates are dependent on market conditions at the time of issuance. The CAO cannot fully predict what interest rates will be in the future.
